The hotel is clean, has very friendly staff, and is located in a wonderful old building.

We were in Syracuse for 1 day, had very nice stay, the hotel was tidy with great location to duomo square.

the room was exceptionally clean and complete with bedroom, firm king-size bed plus direct view to the duomo plaza, i had everything needed. appreciated classical decor. location: the hotel was near to the ortigia main square and the center of ortigia.

Il Duomo is at the end of the main "square" in which the cathedral Il Duomo is situated. The very light breakfast is by a ticket to a cafe in the square opposite the cathedral.You are in the very attractive heart of the old town and feel part of the life of the area. It is easy to contact the proprietor by phone, should you need anything or assistance.

There was no mention that you can not get there by car . We drove around in frustration until we decided to park the car wherever we could and find the b&b by foot. Later we were given a ride to our car to retrieve our luggage but we had to lug it to the the car upon checking out the next day. They only took payment in cash but no receipt was given. We were charged 10 Euros for parking by the hotel even though we had to find our own ( see above) ! In a similar vein we were told to get breakfast ( "anything you want") In a bar across the piazza but after having a cup of coffee and a pastry each we had to pay for second cups and an orange juice There was absolutely no water pressure in the bathroom, the water just trickled out of the shower.

The location of Il Duomo was excellent. The owner was friendly, efficient, and helpful. The room was very clean, well appointed, with a beautiful bathroom, and a balcony with a view of the main square in the town. What more can you ask for?

This place's location is fantastic, as it's conveniently close to the Arkimedeion Museum and also situated near a cathedral and a castle.

Not very clean, the Room had a Windows to the kitchen of a Restaurant, so it smelled strongly,

Location was out so central, 2 minutes from the main piazza.

The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable, plus there's a nice view of the city.

It is perfect! The location wonderful, the manager Stephanos is a superstar and extremely helpful and the room was very big and perfect for our little family.

the duomo has the best location possible. you are in the heart of ortegia a stunning old quarter in syracuse and you understand why the Greeks made it their home. Secondly it is a high quality b and b rather than a hotel but the roomw e stayed in was gorgeous, large roomy a beautiful old arch well restored and impeccably clean with great beds and good furniture

The Duomo and the Ortegia area (in Siracusa) as a location combined made it the best weekend city break... and we travelled with grandparents and teenagers..three generations were happy...waking up to breakfast in that square or enjoying the buzz revelry and romaticism of the main square at night is a truly priceless experience...its full of Italians too..and they certainly ahve good taste
